My wife and I were able to see this flick. If you’re looking for a Sundance/French style flick that might get you searching your own self for a few answers, go for it. Chris Stezin, the playwright/screenwriter, is somebody I hope will get a chance to develop more stories. His characters were very American and very real. No Hollywood BS. They were rather plain, but likable. I liked how the story developed. We were told enough to know what’s going on. In the end, like the main character, we find our own answers to a myriad of questions. But my wife wondered if this movie was about the age-old question, ‘what is the meaning of life?’

The Village Tattler calls “Sleeping and Waking” a “thoughtful and poignant film” and Jeff Allin’s performance “tormented, understated and Brando-esque.”
